Yes, well, that'll teach me to try and set up an Out Of Office email reply thing, you know, like grownups with proper jobs use, because I'm away in Scotland until Monday 17th. It seems to have caused some kind of feedback loop that could easily have consumed the entire interweb until I shut it down (I had to use welding goggles and thick gloves, it was great). Anway, apologies to anyone I may inadvertantly have spammed.

I just thought you wanted to talk to me. Seventeen times. I feel rather let down now.

I once worked in an office where all the out of office things had been configured incorrectly so they would always reply, no matter how many times the same person emailed.
Being fully aware of this, and knowing my then manager and I were going away on a three day training course, I waited until she'd left for the day, switched my out of office on, then sent her an email.
When we returned on the following Monday we both had several thousand emails in our inbox, the network had ground to a halt, and the entire building had travelled four weeks back in time. It was brilliant.
Where in Scotland are you? If you see my mum, tell her I said "hi".

I didn't get spammed once, feels rather unloved and neglected.

Auto reply = nemesis. I have attempted to set it up 5 times and got something fundamentally wrong each time. Once got NO e-mails for 3 days. I actually switched off my interweb.
At least you didn't end up with your autoreply on a road sign in Wales like that translater person. Just embarrassing.
