*I don't mean that anti-gayually, it's a reference to QI. Also, did you know the set for QI was laid out according to the Golden Section, as mentioned on Jonathon Paul Green's blog? I didn't but I like knowing that now.

Ooh. My name in a poem by a famous writer.

I may have to have that mentioned in my obituary.

Nice mug, by the way.

if you wanted something to rhyme with Titchmarsh's thickets, you could have said 'Dave loves taking wickets'.

But then people would have to understand something about cricket, and know that I like bowling.

As you were then.

Bravo.

Nice mug.

I...my...wow.

I hope you will not be desecrating this holy chalice with anything so base as mere Maxwell House.

Serendipitous verification: rnojo, no more than a minor kern away from mojo.

Only freshly-ground coffee and the occasional peppermint teabag have touched my newly purchased Goblet O'Wonder. And if anyone else tries to touch it, I will kill them. Literally kill them.

*tenderly kisses mug*

I have to say, that is a very handsome mug indeed. If I had one like it, I would have to refurnish my whole flat to go with it.

That is a very lovely mug.

(And people laughed at me for writing an Ode to my winter coat. Tcha! They just don't understand the wonder of A Perfect Thing.)

Where's it from? (It is indeed lovely.)

From a shop in Falmouth.

More usefully, but probably not that usefully, it has the words 'FREVD' and 'Renaissance' on the base.

To the interweb!

Lovely mug. I've just got into peppermint tea too. It's the least vile of all the fruity teas, which mostly taste of nothing much or foul leafy things. (In my opinion anyway!)

Well done Patch - there's a reverse black-on-white one as well, which I may go back for. Mmm... patterns....

Really?

That mug?

Are you sure?

ok then....

james henry said...

Say that again.

I dare you.

I think the mug turned up in a dream of mine last night. Spooky. I think I was even drinking from it (sorry!).

Surly - harrumph, quite frankly.

Johanna - quite understandable, it is after all, the Mug of Dreams, and could quite conceivably have magical powers. As long as you washed it up afterwards, no harm done.

Wow, that is one loved mug! I would laugh, but instead shall admit I have passion for a certain mug myself ;o)

(came via Dave :o))

Love it. Would match nicely my Marimekko- bags pattern.

Excellent taste you've got :)

I like it. Even if it's a bit of a girlie mug. (sorry!). I have a much-loved mug that nobody's allowed to touch too, so I know how it feels to suffer from mug-love...

*considers Hulking Out with fury at the 'girlie mug' insinuation*

*decides this to be a fair comment, puts shirt back on*

Well, I think it's a nice mug.

the most comments on the whole page and it's on a post about a mug.

P.S that is a brilliant mug maybe you should put another one in storage incase that one is broken or stolen by an obese minature pony

It is a nice mug. I'm actually just some random annonamous blogger who found the poem based on a search for Fibonacci. Based on the tenuous connection of Fib and being a WoW player with D&D roots, I'm now going to share a deeply personal detail: I have a favorite mug too. Except mine is fat, and engraved with chunky brown owls on a branch.

It's a wonderful poem...
