7 Seconds of Love

Which is the band of Patrick, who was the assistant to the producer of Green Wing, and basically put up with me phoning him at all hours to whinge about stuff that wasn't his fault (breathe) and thus I think everyone should be going to the Borderline off Charing Cross Road this Saturday to see them do their funky ska-type stuff.

I will be going, and Miss P will be going, and other people will be going as well, so if you're in popping-along distance, you should go too, so that Patrick can show you the meaning of Rock.

There are proper links and that to do, but I'll put them up later, or I'll never get round to this, and I want loads of people to go.

UPDATE: there, I linked the word 'band'. Exhausted now. But I think it might be a nice blogging meet style green wing crossover thing if people are up for it. I mean, you know, whatever.

Sounds lovely, I shall be there! do we need something to identify ourselves to one another? Carry copies of autotrader under our arms perhaps? Red carnations in the top pocket?

We would all feel quite smug if we had a secret signal or something. I'm thinking trenchcoats, I'm thinking ordering a 'large jug of pimms for one please' at the bar in a russian accent.

I am so bored, all my flatmates have gone out but I can't cos I've got reading to do and a 9am lecture :(

Is james@james-henry.co.uk the place to email you at james? I'm all alone! take pity on me and email me back!

This is what happens when I run out of caffine...

  6. Marvellous - I must arrange some kind of special blogging signal, or a pub round the corner where we can all meet up or something.

Kalista, no idea as to relative safety of various forms of transport I'm afraid. Does anyone know?

What about this? *checks coast is clear and then does an elaborate signal, which looks uncanily like a chicken doing 90s rave moves*

Yes please does anyone know a safe yet cheap mode of transport? I'll be wanting to get from charing cross to south kensington

Again, damn my Northern heritage, there's no funky ska-type stuff up here! (I'm lying of course, I'm sure there is if I actually looked for it.)

K - Taxi, taxi, taxi, erm taxi! (But a black cab not one of these un-licensed jobbies.)
I often caught the last tube home when I lived in London but not sure I'd do it as a visitor.

  13. Well Patch will be carrying a balloon provided by Kalista, and according to the 7 Seconds forum, everyone else there will be dressed as otters. I will be the tall man standing next to a small chick holding a balloon and not dressed as an otter.

I may provide a digital sample of the shirt I will be wearing, so you could print out a small sample and match it to people as you pass them.

    There. Sorted.
