Actual Proper Satire

It's like watching someone with a PhD in Extreme Withering Sarcasm. Watch right to the end as well, it all goes a bit quiet...

UPDATE: Youtube are offline for a bit - should hopefully be back later...

the daily show is always very good, but this was particularly memorable.
    quite brutal, isn't it.

  2. That's fantastic. I don't watch the Daily show. I think I may have to start

  3. It's not all great - they do these very annoying piss-taking interviews with people who are too polite to complain, which happens to be one of my personal Hulk-triggers.

But when it's good, it's very good indeed, and fuelled from a genuine anger. And yes, in this case 'brutal' is the word.

'Improvised Explosive Opportunities' was very good, but the 911 mention was genuinely quite startling, and very well done.

  4. That was just brilliant, really brilliant. The mention of 9/11 caused a sharp intake of breath only the best satire does that. I usually watch the Daily Show but missed that as I was away so thanks.

  13. YouTube's doing some maintenance at the moment (with blatant disregard for students with nothing better to do than look up Stargate Atlantis clips)

It should be back soon (please, God)

My countrymen are such a bunch of sissies when it comes to talking about the events of September 11 2001. My favorite hypocrisy to point out is that if we are such great Christians, why didn't we turn the other cheek? We make laws and break laws in ways that undermine our precious freedom, to kill people who "Hate us for our freedom" I can't wait for this "Era" to end. The War on Irrational Fear should end soon. "Terrorist Acts" are crimes committed by individuals which can and should be investigated, the perpetrators arrested, charged, tried, and -- if found guilty -- punished for.

My favorite quote, wish I could put a sticker on my car... "Bombing for Peace is like Fucking for Virginity"
