Tum te tum

It's all gone a bit faffy at the moment, what with waiting to hear back from various people, all of whom have apparently gone on holiday (not you, Agent Matt).

Also, I was at a bbc drama party last week, at which people kept interrupting my conversation with another writer by saying 'Excuse me, but aren't you James? OMG I love your blog!'

Except the person I was standing with was this James. So they weren't talking to me.

*sulks*

ALSO: just noticed that Green Wing is now available from the iTunes Store, hurrah! Out of idle curiosity, is anyone able to tell me if it's also available from the American version of iTunes?

Well, these were plainly wrongheads. I just looked at a bit of his blog and it did nothing for me, whereas yours has often caused me to actually cry with laughter. So, you win!

Although I'm sure there must be COMEDY GOLD jut waiting to be tapped into from a 'bbc drama party'.

Thank God you're there. I was beginning to worry.

No Green Wing in the American iTunes store, sorry.

Nor is the Green Wing soundtrack available there, much to my irritation for well over a year now.

I'm sure James Moran is a very nice chap but his blog doesn't have robots and snail watching (not to mention DIY tips and the Owlman of Mawnan). A few daleks just don't cut it I'm afraid...

I never thought I'd say that but there you are.

Coo, that was a quick response benjamin russell, thanks! Sorry to hear about your soundtrack-not-getting-problems.

Boz: I AREN'T DEAD.

Unless you were a bright blue plastic teddy bear, how were they supposed to ID you? I wouldn't have a clue what you look like. But the other James, I do. And I like your blog just as much as his.

James Moran said...

Jocelyn and Jayne: Right, that's it, you're on the Bad List. Hang on, my blog has robots too, probably - I demand a recount.

Mr Henry: Sorry about that, it must have looked like I'd arranged the whole thing deliberately (which I may have done).

Well you see, that was why I felt both surprise and elation, followed by a terrible crushing shame. Five times in a row.

Wait, the comments went all out of order there.

I should point out that TV's James Moran is commenting from Los Angeles, where he's swanking about with world-famous SF writers AS IF THAT IMPRESSES ANYONE.

*is secretly quite impressed*

I have to say though, professional jealousy is the only thing that gets me off my fat arse to do some writing (I write standing up at a lecturn, like Dickens), so it's actually quite a welcome emotion.

I mean, er, 'whatevs'.

Hmm. What happens to those of us on the Bad List? Do we get punished for being naughty? I'm going to have to start reading Other James more regularly if he's going to make promises like that.

*fans self with shiny new laptop*

LA eh? If he meets Joss Whedon I shall be overwhelmed with jealousy. Have you been reading Dr Horrible's Singalong Blog? Genius.

Jayne said...

By reading I meant watching. Obviously. Damn.

James Moran said...

Sir Henry: I'm back from my spiffing hols, akshully, although I may not be making any sense. Ever.

Coh, you put people on the Bad List, as proper punishment, and they go and enjoy it, tch, coh, pah, etc - right, that's it, you're all on the Good List. Except those of you who don't want punishing, in which case you're on the Bad List. Everybody else, fill out a form while I figure out what to do next. Am I still here? Where are my hovercrafts? I like biscuits.

Jayne said...

Oh god. Guilt trip. I shall put down Anathem and read your mss immediately.

*hangs head in shame*

Jocelyn Lavin said...

Moran: Nice try, but it will never work. BRING IT ON.

... I'm not sure what "it" is in this case, I just like saying "BRING IT ON" to people in an arrogant manner.

Next time you are in that sort of situation, ensure you have Blogg Cards (aka business cards) and force James M hand them out on your behalf whenever someone makes a lovely comment about his Blogg.
