Quick catchy-up stuff

Long time blog chum PP is doing a sponsored run for Sport Relief, which I think you, yes, YOU, should sponsor him for. Linky here. It's linked to Comic Relief, so if you do donate something, you then don't have to have anything to do with the rest of the whole ghastly parade, hurrah.

Order Of The Stick reacts to Gary Gygax's death: Awwwww.

Simon Pegg reacts (on Edgar Wright's blog) to the announcement that a US version of Spaced is going to be made, without him or Edgar being consulted at any point, or Jessica Stephenson/Hynes even being mentioned in the press release as a co-creator.

The gist: he's not happy.

I have finally given up on the BLOODY MUSHROOMS, and tipped the lot into the compost bin, where at least they might have another chance.

My Shaun the Sheep episode has been accepted, woo!

I bet you the next time you look at your compost heap there are mushrooms the size of dustbin lids because Nature is a bastard.

Congrats on The Sheep. Did you manage to sneak in any ninjas?

there'll be 500 ninjas, but they're all so good you won't be able to see ANY of them.

i heard about this american spaced thing a few months back and i'm still not happy about it.
although i haven't decided if i'm gonna boycott it completely or watch the pilot to see what they've done to it. of course if i do that i may have to remove my eyes afterwards...

My children are so not impressed when I tell them proudly I've met Green Wing writers, but now, wow when I tell them I've met someone who writes for Shaun the Sheep......

The problem is.... are you going to be able to bring yourself to actually put your hand into the compost to pick any of the sprouting mushrooms.

And yay for Shaun.

Can't Simon Pegg go all American and threaten to slap a law suit onto the Big Wigs for using his name?

The thing is, there's nothing illegal about what the Americans did, and arguably, Pegg and co. should have got a better contract when they started making Spaced in the first place, but it's always simpler in hindsight, and the truth is, they simply might not have had the clout then that they do now.
